Duties and responsibilities

Set up and perform initial machine adjustments required for the production of a specific part;
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as turning, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.;
Interpret task specifications and desired outcomes by reading technical drawings;
Translate blueprint readings into computer commands so machines can execute the correct functions;
Prepare and load raw materials and parts into machines;
Mentor and guide CNC operators in the performance of their duties;
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them to requirements to ensure the process was carried out correctly;
Perform any other related tasks.

Have a good mechanical aptitude and math skills

Qualifications

Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in machining techniques
0 to 3 years of experience
Familiarity with machine codes (G-code)
CNC experience (asset)
